When I was a kid the doctor's thought I had Juvenile Diabetes. When they did the 6 hour glucose test the doctor's came up with this diagnosis: "Well, Ms. Bailey (my mom) 1/2 of the test she was a diabetic and 1/2 of the test she was a hypoglycemic so..........we dunno (and they shrugged their shoulders). Don't let her eat sugar." So I spent most of my childhood without sugary treats.
Now as an adult I thought I'd outgrown it but really sugar is not my friend. It makes me hazy, emotional, irritable and lethargic. Honestly, I think I would be in much better shape all around if I never ate refined sugar (or any of it's evil cousins: high fructose corn syrup, maltodextrin, etc, etc) again. And on that note..............I decided to forgo refined sugar for 60 days starting TODAY! I'm only allowing myself honey and fruit and I'm limiting those two things. So PRAY FOR ME! I've done this before and it's tough. The goal is to break my refined sugar habit and no longer be controlled by sugar!
So, what random fact about you can you share with me today?

I love fairy tales...a little part of me wishes mystical creatures unicorns, pixies, and elves (the Lord of the Ring kind) really existed...but, at least with God, there will be a happily ever after.
I have to put my left shoe/sock on first. It can be sock/sock then shoe/shoe or sock/shoe but always has to start with the left or it doesn't feel right. This is something I had to give up when I put my kids' shoes on and that was a little tough at first.
Good luck with giving up sugar Abby, I am praying for you.
Oh I hear you on the sugar thing. I totally use sugar to self medicate.
I struggle with headaches and sometimes migraines. All the women in my family do. My mom was told to give up sugar and her headaches would go away. She tried it and it worked so I am pretty confident it would work with me as well.
Here is another thing about me, I can't quick eating something cold turkey. If I try at some point I will freak out and binge on it so I have to cut things out gradually. I am trying to do that with sugar right now. If you like we could keep each other accountable on the sugar thing.
